There are obviously certain restrictions in force under some jurisdictions but, unlike mainstream life, there is a sense of FREEDOM which is the reason most Boaters find it worth something that a value can't be put on.
FREEDOM IS A RELATIVE VALUE As a Broker, we favour the Buyer, bearing in mind that 8 out of 10 boats they view from other sources fail to meet their expectations and we find it embarrassing if they feel mislead by our description.
We visit and photograph all of our brokerage items, question the owners and try to appraise them fairly.
We push our sellers to be honest with their reserve value and mutually agree an ideal advertised price that we feel can be realistically achieved. Offers below the advertised price will be put to the seller only when the offer is able to be honoured. i.e when the boat has been viewed and the buyer has cash in the pocket.
An option to buy will only be granted whilst the potential buyer is travelling to view.
